The Porsche 911 GT3 R has been given a weight increase ahead of the start of the Michelin 24H Dubai as part of a pre-race Balance of Performance adjustment by organizers Creventic.
The nine Porsches in the GT3 class have seen their minimum weight increased from 1270 to 1290 kgs, confirmed in a bulletin issued at 10:15 a.m. GST (1:15 a.m ET) on Saturday.
The rest of the car’s BoP parameters remain unchanged, with an air restrictor size of 39,5 millimeters (45 millimeters for Am entries) remaining in place.
Porsche runners have so far largely dominated running in the official sessions leading up to the 20th edition of the Middle Eastern enduro, with Pure Rxcing taking pole position, leading Night Practice and this morning’s warmup while Car Collection Motorsport topped the opening Free Practice session on Friday.
