Another European city mentioned by Redditors was Milan, Italy’s fashion capital.

On Reddit, ‘Rustywings’ posted: “Milan was fairly underwhelming. I wouldn’t rush back other than as a gateway to the lakes.”

Another Italian city attracting millions of tourists every year was also mentioned, possibly to the surprise of many – Venice. One person, ‘NArcadia1’, said: “After spending five days in Venice, I see no need to go back.

“It’s an incredibly beautiful, unique, architecturally artistic city and I’m so glad I saw it. But also it’s incredibly annoying to get around, the food is not as good as in other parts of Italy and it’s a little too ‘fake touristy’ for me.”

Further north in Europe, Oslo in Norway was also mentioned.

User ‘Schlawiner’ said: “While I am a big fan of Norway, I found Oslo to be very boring. No interesting architecture, small, not much to do. The nature around it is also not that spectacular compared to other places in Norway.”

Other cities mentioned in the Reddit thread were Brussels in Belgium, Barcelona in Spain, Basel in Switzerland, Dublin in Ireland, Dubrovnik in Croatia and Athens in Greece.
