The public reception of Kate Contemporary has been positive. “People are curious and excited for points of view that add diversity, this reflects upon the fact that Europe is a grand melting pot of diversity in itself,” adds Marchadesch. The mix of different artistic traditions and backgrounds contributes to a dynamic, vibrant art scene.

Since its official launch in March 2024, Kate Contemporary has already garnered attention with an array of successful exhibitions. Notable shows include two solo exhibitions featuring Mr. S and Pat Frades, a solo show for Marc Aran Reyes, as well as group exhibitions featuring artists from Art Underground and Village Art Gallery, including Jr Saycon, Arnold Lalongisip, GNCH, AR Manalo, and Arce. The gallery has also worked with Galerie Stephanie to showcase artists like Vincent De Pio, Aileen Lanuza, Imam Santoso, Jomike Tejido, Haraya Tejido, and Gabby Prado.

One of the gallery’s own curated shows was a two-man solo show featuring Spanish artist Laura Hernández Pérez and a Philippine artist based in Singapore, Quiban. Closing out 2024, the gallery has an abstraction group show featuring artists from the UK, Spain, the Philippines, and Thailand, such as Reggie Baxter, David Kauffman, Martin Crawford, and Areeya Pornsiriviwat.

Kate Contemporary also made its debut at Art Shopping Paris at the Carrousel du Louvre in October 2024. This participation was a significant milestone, marking the gallery’s increasing presence on the international art stage.

Looking ahead to 2025 and beyond, Kate Contemporary has an exciting calendar of exhibitions and events lined up. The gallery will continue to feature artists from Asia, particularly the Philippines, while also spotlighting local artists from Spain and other parts of Europe. This ongoing collaboration aims to foster greater understanding between cultures.

Kate Contemporary is located at Calle Jorge Juan 64, 28009 Madrid, Spain. For inquiries, please contact +34 619 701 477 or email [email protected]. Follow @katecontemporarymadrid on Instagram.
