This archaeological wonder is found in the south of Evia and consists of 25 large constructions built from huge slabs of limestone. The history behind the intriguing landmark isn’t entirely known but some believe that they were ancient sanctuaries of either Zeurs, Hera or Heracles.
The city of Chalkida offers the best of both of world. Home to a number of museums and galleries including the Archaelological Museum and the Muncipial but also multiple beaches where visitors can enjoy watersports like kite boarding and water skiing – this city has it all.
