St Julians is a vibrant seaside town with a variety of things to offer – including beaches, a bustling nightlife and boutique shopping.
This month, temperatures are remaining in the high teens, making it perfect for getting away from the cold and rainy Irish days.
The town is known for it’s numerous beaches, including Balluta Bay – a rocky stretch with a promenade covered in restaurants.
The promenade stretches along the coast towards Sliema, and is perfect for a nice walk or having a scenic meal.
Here, you can also enjoy some historic sites including the neo-gothic Knisja tal-Karmnu church and the art nouveau Balluta Buildings.
Foodies are well-taken care of in St Julians, with a range of different world cuisines on offer.
For shoppers, you can head to a variety of stores – from famous worldwide brand outlets to more luxurious finds.
There are two famous shopping centres in the town, where you can pick up a range of different items, including souvenirs to bring home.
The town also has a bustling nightlife, with bars and clubs lining the streets of Paceville.
Paceville reaches all the way from Spinola Point to Dragonara Point, with many of the clubs offering free entry.
Located in an area to the south of St George’s Bay Beach, it offers different drinking spots for everyone.
And even better, you can pick up a pint for just €3.50.
The area was originally a military haunt in the 1930s before it was renovated.
For thrill seekers, you can head to one of the multiple casinos throughout the town.
Or you can head to Spinola Bay, which is covered in fishing boats.
The area is also home to a major tourist attraction – the Spinola Palace, built in 1688.
This baroque mansion has a carved clock centrepiece on its facade.
Portomaso Bay is another hotspot, home to a marina and luxury boutiques.
Swimmers can take a dip in several spots to take a dip into the Mediterranean.
The town is also perfect for families, with many kid-friendly activities on offer.
You can head to Malta’s largest cinema complex, a bowling alley, laser tag arena, and video game arcades.
History buffs can take different tours to see the ancient ruins scattered throughout the town.
The town also host different events, including the St Julian’s feast on the last Sunday of August, the Battle of Malta poker tournament and the Trafford Mersey Debrief.
