As if the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine is not harrowing enough, she predicted that ‘Russia will not only survive, it will dominate the world’.

All of her predictions are taken with a pinch of salt, but it’s hard to deny the eerie similarities with the grim reality the world is facing now.

Last week, Britain was warned it ‘must be ready to go to war with Russia’ if Putin continues to escalate.

Nostradamus also predicted that there would be a conflict in Europe this year.

For those who have never come across her life story, she lived in Rupite, a small mountainous village to which various Eastern European and Soviet leaders trekked just for a chance to seek her wisdom.

Blind since early childhood, she was semi-literate in Bulgarian and although she did not record her prophecies, her followers wrote them down, later turning them into books.

Nostradamus predicted that 2025 would see a ‘decrease in the influence of established Western countries’ and the ’emergence of new world powers’ as a prolonged conflict comes to an end with soldiers ‘exhausted’ by attritional warfare.

Tensions continue to rise around the globe, with the former UK defence secretary previously warning of four countries that could spark further conflict.

Former Defence Secretary Grant Shapps said: ‘The era of the peace dividend is over,’ citing Russia, China, Iran and North Korea as potential flashpoints over the next five years.
