According to the Filipino Times, Philippine Embassy Charge d’affaires Jed Dayang said Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis made the remarks to him during a diplomatic event in Prague, the Czech capital. He also reveals that the move to hire more Filipino workers is part of a labour expansion by the eastern European country to hire more migrant workers from Ukraine, Mongolia and the Philippines.
Dayang also remarked that Filipinos are ‘highly valued for their good work, good character, and for integrating well in Czech society.’
Currently, there are 1,005 Filipino expats working in the Czech Republic.
