Having signed a five-year deal with the Dutch top-flight side in July, the Dubliner has hit the ground running with his debut European goal coming less than a fortnight after a remarkable four-goal haul in a 9-1 league win over Heerenveen.
After helping his new side kick off their Europa League campaign with a win, Parrott is set to be included in Heimir Hallgrimsson’s Ireland squad when it’s named this Thursday, ahead of the upcoming double-header against Finland and Greece.
The 23-times capped forward failed to feature in the Icelander’s first two games against England and Greece earlier this month, as Adam Idah and Evan Ferguson saw minutes.
