The farewell parties have begun for Emily O’Reilly, who is coming to the end of her second term as EU ombudsman, having served for over a decade.
According to a report in Politico, there was a good turnout by the Irish contingent in Strasbourg at a reception last week, including the European Medicines Agency chief Emer Cooke, the permanent representative Aingeal O’Donoghue, and the recently elected MEP, Cynthia Ní Mhurchú.
