Aldi Australia has taken off in a new direction to make travel more affordable for shoppers – with a suite of exclusive deals on escapes, cruises and tours.

The grocery chain is expanding its Special Buys offering to include holiday packages in a first for supermarkets Down Under – and it’s set to shake up the travel industry.

Customers can expect to find great deals via Aldi Holidays online portal from Wednesday, October 2.

From just $449 per person, Aldi’s first drop of packages include picturesque escapes, from Surfers Paradise and The Whitsundays to Fiji, Thailand or Hawaii.

Holidaymakers can plan their next trip with cruises around the Pacific Islands or Japan, as well as a range of 10-day tour options and adventures to South Africa, Europe or China.

Bringing value to the travel category, the deals will offer add-on options including room upgrades, tours, customisable experiences and flights at some of the most sought-after holiday destinations around the world.
