Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden returned to the classroom today to continue her special officer training in Stockholm.

The 47-year-old royal flashed a smile as she arrived at the Swedish Defence University for her lesson on Monday, October 7.

Princess Victoria donned the army’s green camouflage uniform, as she settled in for a war game-based lesson with other cadets.

The future Queen of Sweden, who enrolled for the special officer training in preparation for her role as head of state, wore the uniform’s cargo trousers and oversized shirt but ditched the matching cap.

Victoria paired the ensemble with polished, black combat boots and a brown leather laptop bag, as she took her place in a lecture hall.

She opted for minimal jewellery, wearing only her engagement ring, a pair of simple gold earrings, and a thin bracelet.

The mother-of-two was photographed looking focused, as she peered intently at her laptop during the lecture.

She wore her hair in a practical low bun, much like her first day of special officer training nearly two months ago.

Victoria had on minimal makeup for the occasion, wearing just a light layer of foundation, a hint of eyeliner, and mascara.

In April, the Royal Court announced that the Crown Princess would undertake special officer training during the autumn months to ‘acquire a deeper understanding of tactics, military science, and military strategy’ in a statement on Instagram.

Victoria added: ‘My ambition is now to put all my energy into officer training in order to be able to represent Sweden and the Armed Forces in the best possible way in the future.

‘I’m looking forward to an interesting and rewarding study time with my new classmates,’ the translated statement read.

This isn’t the first time Princess Victoria has undertaken a focused course of study about the military.

In 2003, she enrolled for a three-week basic training program at the Swedish Armed Forces International Centre in 2003.

Once Victoria becomes Queen, it is thought that her eldest child, Princess Estelle, will also have to complete the same tuition as second-in-line to the throne.

Like Victoria, other European royals have also embarked on similar military training programs in recent years.

The Crown Princess Leonor of Spain, 18, began a rigorous, three-year course at the General Military Academy of Zaragoza in Northern Spain last year.

She was moved to a naval academy in her second year, as Leonor seeks to acquire a holistic education about Spain’s armed forces.

For her third and final year, the princess will study at the General Air Academy to round out the program.
