Internet users from Luxembourg can use MyGuichet to file complaints against online platforms for hosting and displaying illegal content.
The Luxembourg Competition Authority announced the launch of the service – co-created with the government’s IT centre CTIE – in a news release on Tuesday, saying that it “acts as coordinator for digital services in Luxembourg”.
The EU’s Digital Services Act aims to stop the distribution of illegal or harmful content – such as child sexual abuse content and counterfeit products – on the Internet.

“Intermediary service providers (network infrastructure providers, hosting providers, online platforms or search engines, etc.) must therefore comply with obligations that correspond to their role, size and impact in the digital ecosystem,” the authority said.
Small and medium-size providers are excluded from the monitoring, according to the competition authority.
The EU Commission oversees the monitoring of very large internet platforms – such as Amazon and Facebook – and large search engines, while member states manage national digital services.

Internet users with a MyGuichet or eIDAs token can fill out a form to report any content that clashes with Digital Services Act rules, but are also invited to contact the police when they come across criminal content, as the competition authority cannot block or erase unlawful content.
