On 16-17 October, Claus Neukirch, Director of Programme Co-ordination of the Council of Europe discussed ongoing and potential future technical co-operation activities in North Macedonia during a two-day visit to Skopje.
Claus Neukirch met with Orhan Murtezani, Minister of European Affairs, Igor Filkov, Minister of Justice and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Zoran Dimitrovski for an exchange on the reform priorities of the new government and potential Council of Europe support to these efforts. Claus Neukirch also discussed with Ambassador Michalis Rokas, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to North Macedonia, about the European Union and the Council of Europe ongoing and future joint programmes and exchanged with actual and potential bilateral donors about the prospects of supporting Council of Europe projects in the country.
