Bucks reporter Jim Owczarski talks season opener, Middleton injury

As the Milwaukee Bucks kick off the start of the season, it appears they’ll be without Khris Middleton. Jim Owczarski previews what’s ahead.

Alex Antetokounmpo will continue his professional basketball career in Greece, as the Greek team PAOK BC (commonly called PAOK) announced it had signed the 23-year-old former Dominican High School star.

It is a rival team of Alex’s older brother Kostas, who plays for Panathinaikos. Kostas Antetokounmpo not only helped his team win the Greek Basketball League (GBL) last season, but the EuroLeague title as well.

Alex Antetokounmpo began last season playing for the Milwaukee Bucks’ G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd, but was waived in February so he could sign a deal in Lithuania with M Basket Mažeikiai. He also played briefly for KK Podgorica in Montenegro.

Alex Antetokounmpo now returns to his native country to play for PAOK, which finished eighth in the GBL last season.
