Two Finnish companies plan to start exporting poultry products to China around the end of the year.

Finnish food companies Atria and HKFoods will soon begin exporting poultry products to China.
The matter was confirmed on Tuesday in Beijing — where Finnish President Alexander Stubb is on a state visit this week — according to an Atria press release.
HKFoods plans to begin exporting poulty products to China at the end of this year, while Atria will start the exports at the beginning of 2025.
The CEO of HKFoods, Juha Ruohola, and the chief executive of Atria, Kai Gyllström, thanked Stubb as well as Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Sari Essayah for advancing the export effort.
The deal marks a significant development for Finland’s meat industry, according to both companies.
