Monaco Cyber Security Agency (AMSN) attended the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams’ (FIRST) 36th annual conference, held from 9 to 14 June in Fukuoka, Japan. FIRST is an association comprising 748 IT incident response teams from 111 countries.

This highly constructive and beneficial event saw Bruno Valentin, head of CERT-MC (AMSN’s incident response team) and Frédéric Fautrier, Director of AMSN, exchange views with their counterparts on issues relating to cyber security, the detection of security incidents and ways of responding to them.

Informal meetings were also held with representatives of incident response teams from CAC40 companies (Air Liquide, Crédit Agricole, Schneider Electric, Thales, Vinci, TotalEnergies) and French public institutions (Banque de France, ANSSI).

CERT-MC also took part in a cyber security competition held in conjunction with the conference, where participants competed against each other to solve some cyber security brainteasers. The competition ran as a hybrid event from 10 to 14 June, with 102 teams pitted against each other, in-person and remotely, 24 hours a day. CERT-MC took the 4th place.
