Women’s Competition
Czechia women, skipped by Zuzana Paulova, won the Le Gruyère AOP European Curling Championships 2024 B-Division gold medals after defeating Germany in the final by 8-5.
Both teams have been promoted to next season’s A-Division.
Poland beat Netherlands, 11-4, to pick up the bronze medal.
At the end of the round robin it was decided that ninth-placed Finland and tenth-placed Ukraine are to be relegated to the C-Division.
The gold medal winning Czechia team are: skip Zuzana Paulova, third Alzbeta Zelingrova, second Michaela Baudysova and lead Aneta Muellernova, supported by alternate Karolina Spundova and coach Karel Kubeska.
The silver medal winning Germany team are third and skip Sara Messenzehl, fourth Kim Sutor, second Zoe Antes and lead Joy Sutor, supported by alternate Pia-Lisa Schoell and coach Daniel Charette.
The bronze medal winning Poland team are skip Aneta Lipinska, third Ewa Nogly, second Marta Leszczynska and lead Magdalena Kolodziej, supported by alternate Julia Dyderska and coach Brian Gray.
Men’s competition
In the men’s gold medal game, Denmark – skipped by Jacob Schmidt – defeated Poland by 5-2. Just as in the women’s field, both finalists got promoted to next season’s A-Division.

Spain took bronze with a 4-3 win over Ireland.
Latvia and Bulgaria finished 15th and 16th overall, and they are now relegated to the C-Division.
The gold medal winning Denmark team are skip and third Jacob Schmidt, fourth Jonathan Vilandt, second Alexander Qvist and lead Mads Noergaard, supported by alternate Kasper Jurlander Boege and coach Lars Vilandt.
The silver medal winning Poland team are: skip Konrad Stych, third Krzysztof Domin, second Marcin Cieminski and lead Bartosz Lobaza, supported by alternate Maksym Grzelka and coach Jakub Bares.
The bronze medal winning Spain team are skip Sergio Vez, third Mikel Unanue, second Eduardo de Paz and lead Nicholas Shaw, supported by coach Daniel Rafael.
